“Are you up for some gratuitous Saxon violence? Then join us in Britain, 871 AD. Dying King Bagsecg needs reinforcements with a strong leader to cement the Viking position in central Britain. So he sends his son, Steinar, and his brutal associates, Grim, Jokul and Hagen, to find his vicious firstborn Hakan the Ferocious to take on the gathering Saxon armies. Ivar the Boneless is the last man to have seen Hakan alive before he mysteriously disappeared so Steinar sets out on an epic quest to find his long-lost older brother via witch hunts, traitorous battles, converted Christian warriors and enemy back-stabbing. For Hakan is hiding some devastating secrets in this old-fashioned high adventure romp through Beowulf and Game of Thrones style terrain from Farren Blackburn, director of Doctor Who and The Fades, and written by Matthew Read, scripter of the PUSHER remake. It’s HAMMER time, so kiss my axe!”
